There’s a music festival for everyone in West Wales this summer! As we head out of spring, we’re starting to think about everything that’s brilliant about Summer in West Wales – starting off with music festivals across the counties of Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire. Get your singing voices ready, pull on your dancing shoes/wellies and enjoy!
NEW QUAY MUSIC FEST
The beautiful fishing village of New Quay, between Aberaeron and Cardigan comes alive in August with an annual Music festival. The festival features performances in the marquee over 3 evenings, with a series of free events held over the weekend in and around New Quay, with buskers around the pubs and cafés. Join locals and visitors alike for great music and good times by the sea!

Set against the spectacular backdrop of the Cardigan Bay coastline, West Wales Musicfest Aberystwyth is an inspirational and enticing fusion of music. The engagement of audience, student and artist alike creates the unique community atmosphere – part music festival, part summer school. Experience daily evening and lunchtime festival concerts, plus student foyer performances and
student showcase concerts at the end of the week, together they remind us of the rejuvenating effect of listening to music.

ST DAVID’S CATHEDRAL FESTIVAL
The St. David’s Cathedral Festival has been bringing classical music to West Wales for over 35 years. For ten days every year, the Cathedral hosts a gala of classical and contemporary music concerts under the artistic direction of Oliver Waterer, the Organist and Master of the Choristers. The programme for 2018 is as varied and interesting as ever.

PEMBROKESHIRE FOLK MUSIC FESTIVAL
Concerts, Ceilidhs, Workshops, Singarounds, Sessions and Family Events From a colourful opening ceremony in the town square to the finale, the festival is known as a cheerful and dynamic celebration of folk music set against the historic and picturesque town. All concerts are held at Theatr Gwaun, Fishguard, Pembs, Dyfed, SA65 9AD

FISHGUARD INTERNATIONAL MUSIC FESTIVAL
The festival was founded 46 years ago and has presented a programme of mainly classical music staged at a variety of venues in and around Fishguard, its twin town of Goodwick and other towns and villages across North Pembrokeshire.\

August Bank Holiday Weekend. This Jazz and Blues Festival in Fishguard has been running since 2011, and tickets go on sale soon for the 2018 extravaganza which takes place in and around the North Pembrokeshire town for 5 days.

MILFORD HAVEN MUSIC FESTIVAL
With roots in the Tall Ships Race at Milford Haven in 1991, the festival was formally established in 2002, celebrating the Golden Jubilee. Now an annual fixture, the Milford Haven Music features many national and international artists and stars from the classical music world,

The emphasis of the festival is on collaboration, inclusion and diversity.
