Lamphey Court -Tea Time, Me Time

Lamphey CourtAfter a busy few weeks at work, attempting and failing miserably to juggle my work-life balance, and with the expected whirlwind visit from my much loved but exhausting sister, I was desperately looking for some much needed downtime. I needed to find something to fill the scheduled day I had booked with mum and sister, and it needed to be something to keep us all happy!

Tea Time, Me Time, a day in the tranquil surroundings of Lamphey Court Spa to include not only a facial but also a cream tea…sounded perfect!

This highly tempting package combines sophistication with pure indulgence, just what I desperately needed. A few blissful hours to unwind, be pampered and indulge in a decadent afternoon cream tea, with my 2 beautiful companions.

Included in this package is an afternoon tea, full use of the leisure facilities, complimentary use of towels, robe and slippers, along with a 25 minute, cleansing radiance facial.

So on a wet and drizzly Monday morning we head to Lamphey Court, set in the heart of Pembrokeshire. An impressive Georgian building and surrounded by beautifully manicured gardens. Although it was pretty miserable outside, on entering the spa, it became apparent that the purpose built building had been designed to capture it’s surrounding stunning views, which even on a day like today, were not disappointing.

Relaxing on the comfortable recliners pool side, we each drank in the views through the large windows that ran the length of the building, whilst having the opportunity to have a good natter and generally catch up.  A 14metre infinity pool, was surrounded by loungers, and today we shared this with only 3 other guests.

We were each, one after the other, discreetly collected for our treatments, to return feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.

After a blissful few hours had passed we dressed and headed to the large conservatory attached to the main hotel for our much anticipated, cream tea.

The restaurant was quiet on the day we visited the spa, but the service was prompt and fuss free. We were each presented with our own cake stand adourned with finger sandwiches, scones with cream and jam, along with a selection of delicious and perfectly crafted cakes, all washed down with plenty of tea.

We left feeling stress free, rejuvenated and full of sweat cake and tea, and all agreed it was the perfect way to spend the day.
